Uzbekistan expands key China-Europe route highway for freight transport

Uzbekistan is widening a major highway on the China-Europe route to improve freight transport. A 25-kilometer section of the A380 highway in Karakalpakstan is being expanded from two to four lanes, with completion expected by the end of 2026. A 240-kilometer segment completed in 2024 has already significantly reduced travel times and costs for carriers.
