Nearly 100,000 people moved into Afghanistan from Iran and Pakistan in two weeks

The International Organization for Migration recorded almost 100,000 arrivals into Afghanistan from Iran and Pakistan between September 27 and October 10. Over 39,000 movements out of the country towards these neighbors were also registered. Deportation was a significant driver for returns from Iran, cited by 61% of surveyed arrivals.
