Reconstruction of Dostlik canal connecting Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan begins

Reconstruction of a 3.4 km section of the Dostlik canal, passing through Gulistan city, has begun. The 77.2 billion soum project includes concreting the canal to reduce water loss. A 5.62 km road and a 1.02 km pedestrian path will be built alongside, with surrounding areas to be improved.
