Samanid-era stucco panel fragments discovered in Bukhara archaeological site

Fragments of stucco panels with Kufic inscriptions, belonging to a congregational mosque from the Samanid era (9th-10th centuries), were found at the Shahriston archaeological site in Bukhara. The discovery was made by an Uzbek-US international archaeological expedition. Restoration and conservation work is underway.
