Kazakh President Tokayev Congratulates Timur Turlov on FIDE Presidency

President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev sent a congratulatory telegram to businessman Timur Turlov on his election as president of the International Chess Federation (FIDE). Tokayev wished Turlov success in his new role. Turlov, who also heads the Kazakhstan Chess Federation, was elected in Samarkand with 110 out of 196 votes, succeeding Arkady Dvorkovich.
