Tajik and American archaeologists explore ancient sites in Khatlon

Bilateral archaeological research has begun at the medieval site of Kofirkal'a (Khalevard) and nearby sites in Tajikistan's Khatlon region. The work, conducted by Tajik and American archaeologists from the Academy of Sciences and New York University, is part of a scientific cooperation agreement and will continue until October 30, 2026.
