Tajikistan produced 18.8 billion kWh of electricity in nine months of 2026

Tajikistan generated approximately 18.8 billion kWh of electricity from January to September 2026, a 2% decrease compared to the same period in 2025, according to the Statistics Agency. Hydropower plants produced over 17.8 billion kWh, while thermal power plants generated 969 million kWh. Solar power generation increased nearly eightfold, reaching 5.6 million kWh.
