Lithuania suspends acceptance of labor migrants from Tajikistan

Lithuania has temporarily suspended the acceptance of applications for work or entry for citizens of Tajikistan. The reason cited is the increase in labor migrants from Central Asia. According to Indrė Gasparė, head of the Migration Department, the number of citizens from Tajikistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Turkmenistan, and Uzbekistan arriving in Lithuania increased last year.
