Kazakhstan develops test system to detect meat product falsification

Kazakh scientists have developed a PCR test system to identify the species composition of meat and detect raw material substitution in meat products. The Ministry of Agriculture stated the system can identify DNA from 17 animal and bird species, simultaneously detecting multiple species in one sample.
